En route to Hawaii, we stopped in Japan and the head monk of Cambodia,
the Venerable Thep Vong, was there en route to
somewhere in a delegation, and he blessed the baby, blowing on
her head, because he felt she was so fragile whe would not survive
– if he could see her now!
Laura Smith came to Cambodia in 1990 as a high
school student and now has her own foundation, Global

A SPECIAL VISIT BY KHUN SUMITMAI DHARMASAROJ (HE NAME MEANS “Good New Friend Lotus of the Dharma) OF BANGKOK WHO BEFRIENDED AND HELPED MANY OF THE FAMILIES WHO ADOPTED ORPHANS FROM THAILAND AND CAMBODIA THROUGH “WORLD FAMILY”.
 
This little boy looked so sad when I saw him in the orphanage
in January 1990 the first time. Now he’s “Hing Daniel”
and living in a great family. His parents came to Cambodia to
pick him up in 1990 – he was in the second 5 of the first
10 kids adopted... They helped Daniel carry 5 kids to Laos and
then Thailand.
Surrounded by LOVE!
Hing Daniel, look at him now! growing up on Whidbey Island,
Washington, a baseball and soccer star, in college studying
international diplomacy and political science, turning 21 in May 2007.
He returned to Cambodia 8 years ago when his parents adopted 2 Khmer
sisters. They are close to Alexa,also shown here, an aspiring model.
his brother Ben is from India, and his sister Amanda is studying
International Social Work. Bravi tutti!
